I don’t know Japanese, but apparently 5.5 spoken in Japanese (go-han) sounds similar enough to the term used for “rice.” Thus, we have the Audi A8 Rice, purportedly named for the built-in rice cooker nestled between the rear seats. The green-tea interior is a nice touch.
It even comes with an Audi-branded bowl. Time to step your game up, Rolls-Royce. I wouldn’t be surprised if some obscure Japanese, or any other Asian OEM, had already implemented this idea in the past. I need rice in my diet and sometimes I do find myself wishing I could have fresh rice while on the road or at work. This is already on my options list for my fantasy Rolls-Royce/Bentley. [via WCF]
