..a team of engineering studs from SJSU’s Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering have created a two-wheeled version.  Using batteries to power a drive-train that uses contact friction to motivate the spheres, the bike promises true omni-directional maneuverability.

The plan is to bring a physical product to market, which is quite exciting seeing as nothing like this has ever been done before.
