This is a dessert called “Night Pearl.” Its egg shape is formed out of white chocolate.

When hot dark chocolate is poured on top, the “egg” melts slightly, cracking open to reveal a dark chocolate truffle cake. [via]

The clue as to what this engine powers lies in the background.

But it’s no ordinary boating engine. This one was built by a certain bullish Italian auto manufacturer.

This Lamborghini L804-V4 Class 1 8.2L V12 and others actually powered offshore powerboats in the late 80′s and early 90′s. They pushed out 1,100 hp through its high-end Tubi exhaust systems.

This particular engine is on display at Lamborghini’s official museum in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy.

The gigantic air intakes stick out quite a bit on the otherwise sleek boats.
