First 2014 Corvette Stingray Sold at Barrett-Jackson

Barrett-Jackson auctioned off the rights to purchase the first production 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray for $1.1 MILLION.  I’ll let that sink into our head for a bit.  The lucky bidder is Rick Hendricks of Hendrick Motorsports.

At least it’s all for a good cause; 100% of proceeds benefited College for Creative Studies.

I’m really digging the new Vette.  I can’t hide that I kind of wanted it to be mid-engined, but it still turned out looking great (Ferrari-esque).  Bring on the ZR1 !

Love the car, not loving that color!

Yeah, I don’t really like red on cars in general.
